Dr. Henry Abuya Ohen was born in Ikiewanlen, Opoji. He attended and graduated from Ikiewanlen Primary School and went to Western Boys High School, Benin. He obtained a B.Eng in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Benin and was retained by the University as a Graduate Instructor where he got the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship to study in United States.

After obtaining M. Eng from New Mexico Tech and PhD from University of Oklahoma both in petroleum engineering, Dr. Ohen was retained as an Assistant Professor of Engineering at the University of Oklahoma before moving to Houston to join Corporate America as a Reservoir Engineer.  He rose through the rank to Technology Vice President before venturing out on his own business in 2003.

Dr. Ohen is currently the Owner, President and CEO of Houston, Texas-based HPO Global Resources Ventures Inc., and HPO Global de Colombia Based in Bogota, Colombia. He is also the Managing Director of Pioneer Alfa Petroleum Services and three other Companies in Nigeria.

Dr. Ohen is also a part-owner of the first commercial core analysis Laboratory in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (GOPS Labs). He is UPDC (Aramco) and Petronas-recognized and certified instructor and a consultant/advisor to several oil and gas companies around the World, including Aramco, Petronas, Ecopetrol, NNPC, Shell, Exxon-Mobil, Agip, Total, PEMEX, Chevron, NAPIMS, FES, Pan Ocean, HOCOL, Gran Tierra and Frontera. Dr. Ohen is responsible for several oil and gas discoveries and exploitation around the World, including Nigeria. He is the author of over forty technical papers in reputable scientific journals. He is the founder and First President of Opoji D’light North America.

Dr. Victor Akhidenor is from Eguare, Opoji and was born to the families of Inegbeniki Akhidenor and Ehanlen Abhulimen. He was raised in the Royal Palace of the Onojie of Opoji. Dr. Akhidenor lives in Texas, United States with his wife, four children, and three grandchildren.

Victor holds a doctorate degree in Health Administration, Masters Degree in Healthcare Management, Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Associate Degree in General Studies, all earned in the United States.  He is the author of  Diabetes-Related Knowledge Among Middle-Aged African American Women In North Texas, a book which is currently on sale at leading book stores, including Amazon and Barnes and Noble.

Dr. Akhidenor is President/CEO of Unique Home Care Services, Inc. President/CEO of Maximpact Global Ventures, and VicDenor Nigeria Limited, Nigeria.  He is also an Adjunct Professor at the Lincoln Memorial University, Tennessee and a former employee of the United States Department of Homeland Security.  Dr. Akhidenor is Vice President, Military Affairs, the University of Phoenix Alumni Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter. He is very passionate about the development of Opoji and the wellbeing of our parents, siblings, and other relatives at home.

Dr. Joseph Adonor Ohens is from Ikiewanlen, Opoji. He attended the Annunciation Catholic College (A.C.C.), Irrua and trained as a teacher and journalist at the College of Education, Igueben and the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Lagos, respectively. He practiced journalism from 1989 to 2001 at the Nigerian Observer and CityNews Newspapers, where his journalism career blossomed as Editor-in-Chief during the crusade for Nigeria’s return to democracy in the Generals Babaginda and Abacha despotic era.

A crusader for good governance, social justice and equal opportunity for all, Dr. Ohens studied law at the Lagos State University and earned his Master of Laws and Doctor of the Science of Law degrees from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law. As an employee of the Catholic Secretariat in South Carolina, responsible for priest personnel and the bishop’s office from 2007 to 2012, Dr. Ohens provided immeasurable immigration benefit assistance to Nigerians and other Africans in South Carolina and surrounding states. He later embraced healthcare law and currently works as a health system’s Chief Compliance and Risk Officer in California. Dr. Ohens is also an adjunct professor and teaches U.S. Health System and Policy. A great supporter of education, Dr. Ohens has helped and continues to help many Nigerians to accomplish their quest for quality graduate education in the United States.

Dr. Joseph Ohens is a proud son of Opoji who is committed to the socio-economic development of his hometown.

 

Sylvester Obobhase Aghidi is from Oghagbo, Opoji, but he grew up in Ujosanlen, Opoji. Sylvester attended Opoji Grammar School, Opoji and St. James Grammar School Afuze, Emai. He holds a Higher National Diploma, Accountancy from Auchi Polytechnic (now Federal Polytechnic) Auchi, Edo State, a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Brandon University, Brandon, Manitoba, Canada, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Laurentian University, Ontario, Canada. He is a member of the Certified Professional Accountants of Canada and the Institute of Internal Auditors.

Sylvester works as a Senior Business Comptroller with the Province of Manitoba, Department of Families, and lives in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He is married with three children.

Ms. Sophia Madojemu is the daughter of Joseph Madojemu of Eguare, Opoji.  Sophia is passionate about the development of Opoji and works assiduously to support initiatives focused on giving back to the community.

Sophia lives in Chicago, Illinois. She works in the health care sector, and she is also a caterer, and a mother.

Dr. Zek Ukinamemen was born in Oghagbo, Opoji. He went to several primary schools including Oghagbo Primary School before attending Government College Ughelli. Prior to relocating to the United States in 2012, Dr. Zek Ukinamemen worked at the United Bank for Africa (UBA) PLC and Savannah Bank PLC. He lectured, part-time, at the Ambrose Alli University, and was at the Rhema University, Aba, Imo State, where he served as Coordinator of the College of Management and Social Sciences. He also successfully managed his fish-farming and consulting business.

 

Dr. Ukinamemen lives in Houston, Texas.
